IELTS 雅思考試 （International English Language Testing System, 國際英語語言測試系統）是為那些打算在以英語作為交流語言的國家和地區留學或就業的人們設置的英語語言水平考試。雅思考試由英國文化教育協會、IDP教育集團和劍橋大學外語考試部三方在全球共同組織運作。

　　雅思考試内容涵蓋聽說讀寫四項語言技能，兼具實用性和學術性，能夠精準地測評考生真實的英語溝通能力。雅思考試有兩種考試類型：學術類和培訓類。學術類雅思适用于出國留學申請本科、研究生及以上學位，或獲得專業資質。培訓類适用于英語國家移民申請（如澳大利亞、加拿大、新西蘭及英國），或申請培訓及非文憑類課程。

　　如果您想要前往英國或在英國居留一段時間，您需要了解用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試(UKVI)。該考試是為滿足英國簽證與移民局對特定類型英國簽證申請要求所開設的考試。

　　2016年，有超過270萬人次在140個國家和地區參加雅思考試。全球超過9,000所教育機構、雇主單位、專業協會和政府部門的認可雅思成績。

　　教育部考試中心與英國文化教育協會于2004年2月23日正式簽署了在中國合作舉辦雅思考試的協議。根據協議規定，中國内地（香港、澳門和台灣地區除外）的雅思考試由教育部考試中心和英國文化教育協會合作舉行。雅思考試的報名、考生咨詢和各地考點的設立及管理工作将由教育部考試中心統一負責。英國文化教育協會作為雅思考試網絡的代表，負責内地雅思考試的資料提供、考場監考和考卷評分等工作。目前，雅思在中國大陸40個城市共設有75個考試中心。

　　關于報名和交費

　　在中國，考生隻能通過網上報名的方式報考雅思考試。考生可訪問教育部考試中心雅思報名網站http://ielts.etest.edu.cn 并完成以下步驟即可報考雅思考試。

　　第三步：預訂座位

　　第四步：填寫報名表

　　第五步：确認支付考試費用

　　關于考試成績　　

　　考試成績單是考生英語能力的權威證明，顯示考生聽力、閱讀、寫作和口語4個分項的成績以及總成績。

　　考生須正常完成筆試、口試所有科目及如期參加現場照相方可以收到成績單。考生通常可以在筆試後第10個工作日登錄教育部考試中心雅思報名網站個人主頁查看考試成績。考試成績以最終收到的成績單為準。考生成績單将同時由英國文化教育協會通過EMS（僅限于中國大陸地區寄送服務）寄往考生報名時提供的成績單寄送地址，每位考生隻能收到1份成績單原件。考生可登錄教育部考試中心雅思報名網站個人主頁申請寄送額外成績單并支付相關費用。考試成績自考試日期起2年内有效。

　　About IELTS

　　The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. IELTS is jointly owned by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

　　IELTS is a task-based test covering the four language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) which enables to provide the accurate assessment of English ability.

　　There are two types of the IELTS test:  The IELTS Academic test and The IELTS General Training test.

　　The IELTS Academic test is for people applying for undergraduate program, postgraduate program or professional registration in an English speaking environment. It reflects some of the features of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to begin studying or training.

　　The IELTS General Training test is for those who are going to English speaking countries for secondary education, work experience or training programs. It is also a requirement for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The test focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts.

　　if you are going to the UK or wanting to stay in the UK , there is the IELTS for UKVI test for you. IELTS for UKVI is designed to meet certain administrative requirement that only specified by UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI)

　　Last year, more than 2.7 million tests were taken in over 140 countries globally. IELTS is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency by over 9000 organisations worldwide.

　　National Educational Examinations Authority and the British Council officially signed the agreement of co-organizing IELTS in China on February 23rd, 2004. According to the agreement, the IELTS tests in mainland China (except for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are jointly operated by National Educational Examinations Authority and the British Council. Tests registration, customer services, test centres set up and management are managed by National Educational Examinations Authority. As the proud co-owner of IELTS, the British Council is responsible for the management of material preparation, exam invigilation and marking. Up to now, there are 75 IELTS test centres in 40 cities in mainland China.

　　Test Registration and payment

　　To successfully register the IELTS, you must complete all of the steps in sequence online through NEEA IELTS online registration website http://ielts.etest.edu.cn  or   http://ielts.etest.net.cn.

　　1. register as a user of the NEEA IELTS online registration web-site

　　2. Prepay the test fee

　　3. select a seat

　　4. complete the application form and confirm payment

　　5. Confirm the test payment

　　6. Receive confirmation letter

　　7. Pre-booking of the speaking test

　　8. Check test arrangement and print admission ticket

　　Test report form

　　The TRF is the standard proof of candidate's English proficiency, which shows candidate's scores for all four skill areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking, and the overall band score. The test result is valid for 2 years from the test date.

　　Candidates who completed all the modules of the written and speaking tests and had their photograph taken on the test day successfully are eligible to receive their test report form (TRFs).

　　Candidates can check their test results and EMS tracking number online by visiting their homepage on the NEEA IELTS online registration website, usually on the 10th working day after the written test date. The website information is for reference only and the test result is based only on the TRF. The British Council will send you the TRFs by EMS. Each candidate will receive only one copy of the TRF. You may also pay for extra test report form (Extra TRFs) sending service online if needed.
